Day 01
- NEGOMBO
Arrive in Sri Lanka. You will be met
by a representative and transferred
to Negombo. Rest of the day at leisure
by the beach. Over night stay at the
hotel. |

Day 02
-KANDY
After breakfast proceed to Kandy.
En route visit Pinnewela Elephant
Orphanage. Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
– App. 55 miles from Colombo, off
Colomb- Kandy road is Pinnawela, where
an orphanage was started in 1975 to
house the abandoned and the wounded
Elephants. The number of elephants
has increased to more than 40 now,
including baby Elephants brought from
various parts, as well as the babies
born, as a result of the captive breeding
programme. Over night stay at Hotel

Day 03
- KANDY
After Breakfast commence sight seeing
in Kandy including Upper Lake Drive,
Market Square, the Temple of the Sacred
Tooth Relic and Royal Botanical gardens.
* Kandy - the hill capital. Venue
of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold
of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded
to the British in 1815. Kandy is an
example of the Buddhism’s influence
in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines
and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist
traditions are everywhere. * Temple
of the Sacred Tooth Relic - ever since
4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s
Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden
from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan
princess’ hair, the Relic has grown
in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka
and throughout the Buddhist world.
It is considered Sri Lanka’s most
prized possession. * Royal Botanical
Gardens, Peradeniya, Sixty Seven hectares
of exquisite beauty and botanical
treasurers containing more than 4000
species, this is haven not only for
Scientists but to every nature lover
as well. Evening return to the hotel.

Day 04
-NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara
Eliya. En route visit a tea plantation
and a factory. Arrive in the hotel
and check-in. Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little
England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against
beautiful backdrops of Mountains,
Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations.
It is supposed to be one of the coldest
places on the island, but is really
just like an England spring day although
the temperature does drop at night.
All around Nuwara Eliya you will see
evidence of the British influence.
Houses are like country cottages or
Queen Ann style mansions. The Victoria
Park, in the middle of town, is a
lovely place for a stroll or a picnic.
Seasons may be absent elsewhere in
Sri Lanka, but here you can read them
by the flowers, which bloom in the
spring (march to May) and the fall
(August and September). These are
the “seasons” when low-country folk
flock to Nuwara Eli to escape the
sea level heat and humidity. Rest
of the day at leisure. Arrive in Nuwara
Eliya and check-in to the hotel. Rest
of the day at lesire. Over night stay

Day 05
- KATARGAMA
After breakfast visit Sitha Amman
kovil. Thereafter proceed to Kataragama.
Arrive in Kataragama and check-in
to the hotel. Evening visit Kataragama
“ Kadiragamam Kovil” and participate
for the Pooja ceremony. Over night

Day 06
-COLOMBO
After breakfast proceed to Colombo
and check –in to the hotel. Afternoon
commence sight seeing and shopping
in Colombo. Colombo a drive through
the city taking you to the busy commercial
areas as well as the tree-lined residential,
Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the
former British administrative center
and military garrison, Sea Street
- the Goldsmith’s quarters in the
heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area,
where is also a Hindu Temple with
elaborate stone carvings, and the
Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating
back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha
Mosque and the former Eye Hospital
are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens
worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH,
see the replica of Avukana Buddha
and the Independence Square. Visit
the Mlesna exquisite tea boutique,
cashew nut shop, ready made garments
and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit
the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place
where you can buy “NORITAKE SET” or
other ceramic items, visit the Odel
shop at Lipton place and’ House of
Fashion’ Rest of the day at leisure.

-COLOMBO
After breakfast transfer to airport
to connect with the departure flight.

Day 01
-Kandy

- Four miles south east of Nuwara
Eliya is another prominent peak, Hakgala.
At its foot lie the Hakgala Botanical
Gardens, and beyond, the Hakgala Strict
Natural Reserve. The gardens are smaller
and less exotic than those at Peradeniya,
but at 5,600 feet (1,707 meters) elevation
the species of flora quite different.
Opened as an experimental cinchona
plantation (for production of the
malaria antidote quinine) in 1860,
the pride of the gardens is now roses
and ferns. * Seethaeliya – the little
Kovil dedicated to Seetha with statue
of Rama, Lakshmana and Hanuman. Afterwards
return to Kandy. Dinner and overnight
stay at Mahaweli Reach Hotel , Kandy

Day 03
-Negombo-Colombo
After breakfast proceed to Colombo.
